  19. Au contraire.  I intentionally chose an undergraduate that (ostensibly)
  20. abolished fraternities, so I wouldn't have to deal with them.

  22. Sorry if I'm not being "F.C." (fraternally correct) by pointing out all the
  23. problems with fraternities.  But objective criticism backed by facts is not
  24. "bashing."

  26. You, on the other hand, seem to have the reverse problem, by assuming that
  27. only "people who did not get a bid to pledge" would dare to criticize the
  28. fraternity system.  (I guess that's a good way to rationalize why women
  29. criticize the frats.)  I'm confused why it is that some frat folks feel quite
  30. confident in generalizing about those who criticize frats.  Maybe it's
  31. just that I've had friends raped by fraternities.  Maybe I'm just disgusted
  32. by the sexism promoted by all-male fraternities.  Maybe I'm dismayed
  33. by what fraternities did to my alma mater.  Maybe I'm Greek-American, and
  34. don't like having my nationality slandered by being associated with
  35. fraternities.  Maybe it's that, as a member of society, I *care* what
  36. sorts of institutions end up shaping the leaders of the future.
