  25. Okay, this really struck a chord with me.  I don't know if it's different
  26. for men than women, but I know from experience that it is hell for a man.
  27. (at least from my perspective)  There is a really nice, very attractive
  28. guy who does the yardwork at my apartment complex, and I was attracted to
  29. him almost instantly.  I have lived there for over 2 years, and I have yet
  30. to figure out a way a) to express this to him, or b) to feel even reasonably
  31. sure whether or not the feelings are mutual.

  33. I get all kinds of mixed signals from him . . . there are times he really
  34. seems to be holding eye contact a little too long, or seems a little too
  35. interested in making a conversation out of a 'hello' for there to not be
  36. any attraction, but then there are times when it seems he is just really
  37. really friendly to everybody and I am having a big-time case of wishful
  38. thinking.  It's damn frustrating.   >:-#

  40. But right now the whole question is irrelevant, because it seems another
  41. person has swept me off my feet . . . but I think it will always kind of
  42. be a question lingering in the back of my mind.

  44. The biggest inhibiting factors here are a) he is part of the apartment
  45. staff, and if he is a paranoid straight man then he might say/do things
  46. to make life at that complex complicated for me, and b) he is a big man,
  47. probably around 6'2" and very muscular, so if I caught him on a bad day
  48. he could very well decide to break something on my body.  (ouch)

  51. has already died, and everyone else has forgotten about it . . .
