- Well, the situation (as I'm sure you already know) pretty much sucks.
- But basically, the only advice (I know this will sound really helpful)
- is to try and forget. My last boyfriend treated me like shit when he
- dumped me, but the relationship we had before then was really really
- wonderful. And I'm still not over him, even though I know if we'd
- stayed together, we would have ended up hating each other.
- I honestly believe that there are some people who, no matter how rationally
- incompatible, touch some nerve within us that never goes away.
- Christine Lavin (a folk singer) has a great song about it called "The Kind
- of Love you Never Recover From" The title about sums it up. Even after
- you go on, you'll always remember her. And it's painful, but at least
- it shows that you're a little extra sensitive or feeling or something.
- I know, small comfort. But who ever said it was an easy gift to bear?
