- This fall, our little bi group at UofC has been haunted by weird and
- unpleasant people. The first were two dykes suffering from "ego a deux".
- One did all of the talking and the other sat around taking notes like a
- spy. The talker was very hostile and threatening, obviously not
- interested in talking with bi people about queer stuff, but only interested
- in being a pest at all the local queer organizations. (They've shown up
- at the main campus gay group asking for cash, and haunted the divinity
- school queers also). Now these women could have been interesting, they've
- started their own religion and church, but they (at least the talker) acted
- so bad we asked them to leave. With much yelling and cussin' on the part
- of the talker, they left, but left us with a hex.
-
- Maybe because of this hex, we have another "haint".
- The second problem is a huge person of indeterminate gender (but claims female)
- wearing long grey hair in two pigtails and a "legalize marijuana" shirt.
- Now I'm a former pot-head myself, and would like to see marijuana legalized,
- but again, this person was disruptive, talking loudly in non-sequitors,
- wanting to babble about asexuality, canibalism, and trying to pick arguments,
- all in a haze of 1960's cultural relativism.
-
- This person also has haunted the campus Democrats, the Independent Voters
- of Illinois, and maybe the Science Fiction Club. She obviously isn't
- interested in listening to what any other person has to say, only in promoting
- a vision of society so vague, that when I tried to dig it out of her, it
- splinted into a thousand shards.
-
- I suppose we'll have to ask her to leave too.
-
- Now my question is, how do you other folks with bi groups, in Boston,
- Ediburgh, Bay Area, or wherever deal with crackpots. You've talked about
- the sex pests that come through a little bit, but these are different.
-
- I wish I were a werewolf. I would wait for the full moon and be ...
- ATTACK ANIMAL!
