  40. THis years theme is Making it Perfectly Queer, is a tribute to lesbian,gay and 
  41. bisexual activism everywhere.   Regardless of whether we are conservative, 
  42. progressives, radical, female, male, transgender, Native American, 
  43. Latino/hispanic, Asian, black, white, bisexual, lesbian, gay,and in or out of 
  44. the closet, we are bound together by our visin of creating a perfect world.
  45. MAking it Perfectly Queer is an opportunity for all of us to share the vision.

  50. Glenn Magpantay - Former Co-Chair of the National Lesbian, Gay, & Bisexual
  51. Student Caucus, the only LGB student organization in the country that 
  52. operates on a national level.

  54. Suzanna Denevan - Openly lesbian former student body president of University
  55. of Minnesota at Minneapolis,  Suzanne has spoken to LGB student organizations 
  56. and events across the United States.

  61. the Spring of 1983.  Since their founding, the organization has achieved 
  62. numerous victories, including the establishment of an office to address the

  85. The Midwest Bisexual, Gay and Lesbian Student Coalition will be meeting for 
  86. the first time at the COnference.  The coalition is an excellent opportunity
  87. for students to become involved with LGB activism on a Midwest Level. 
  88. A special planning meeting will be held during the conference for everyone
  89. interested in planning the future of this organization.   IF you are interested
  90. in being a part of the Coalition, but cannot attend the Conference, contact the
  91. Conference chair for more info.

  164. Housing and Transportation
  165.  
  166. Iowa State University is located near the center of Iowa in the city of 
  167. Ames.  Ames is located 30 miles north of Des Moines on I-35.  To reach the 
  168. Memorial Union, simply take I-35 North to Highway 30.  Take Highway 30 west 
  169. several miles to the Elwood Drive Exit.  Turn Right on Elwood and proceed 
  170. to the second traffice light.  Turn left onto Lincoln Way.  The Memorial 
  171. Uniion will be on the right about a mile later.  For easiest Access, park
  172. in the Memorial Union Parking Ramp, which is free for anyone staying within
  173. the Memorial Union Hotel.  
  174.  
  175. The Memorial Union Hotel has special conference rates ranging from $35-$45
  176. plus $5 per person for each night stayed.  Rooms can be reserved by calling
  177. 1-515-292-1111.  To recieve the conference discount, you must reserve the 
  178. room before Feb. 10, and must mention that you will be attending the College 
  179. Conference Sponsored by LGBA.

  181. NOTE: Although the Memorial Union Hotel is not Universally accessible to 
  182. people with diasabilities, other motels in the Ames area are.  For a list
  183. of these, or to discuss accessability issues in Ames or at Iowa State 
  184. University, contact Stephen Lorimor at the conference office.

  186. For those people travelling on a limited budget, community housing will 
  187. be available on a first-come, first-serve basis.   If you are interested in
