  22. While I'm sure you're doing so for a good motive, it's not
  23. wise to spread disinformation for any reason.  The amyl-nitrate/drug
  24. 'cause' of aids was put around by *one* man, who is a homophobic
  25. bigot specifically trying to confine the problem to homosexuals
  26. and drug addicts.  Haven't heard much more about him since there
  27. was a significant crossover into the non-drug-abusing straight population.

  29. Amyl nitrates may well have deliterious efects on the body but there is
  30. *no* proven, suspected, or even posited (by anyone else) connection
  31. with Aids.  Sufficient research has been done by many many groups by
  32. now that we'd know if there was.
