  35. Obviously you've been very unlucky, since that isn't the experience of the
  36. other posters in this thread. Personally, I have only experienced shit from
  37. the straight community (and very little of that, for which I count myself
  38. lucky). I have many gay friends, and I've had gay lovers, who have not the
  39. slightest problem with my bisexuality.

  52. Well, I think as long as no-one is actively oppressing you, it's fair
  53. enough not to feel part of the straight or gay communities; after all, the
  54. bi community (if you believe in such a thing, unlike at least one poster
  55. here) is clearly different. I do agree with David and Ciaran, though, that
  56. oppression from the gay community *does* hurt more, for more or less the
  57. reasons Ciaran gave.
