- The *only* study to show this ever was the one commissioned by the
- original manufacturers. All independent studies have shown no
- quantifiable effect at all, apart from a slight local swelling at
- the time of application. (Whether the stories I've heard from med
- students about these things causing varicose veins are true or not

- They've probably started emphasising the 'pleasureable' (?) aspect of
- these things to avoid false advertising suits, though it would be a
- brave man indeed to stand up in court and say he'd tried a penis
