  66. work in virtual reality technology to this conference.  Submissions may
  67. be in the form of either technical papers or videos to be included in
  68. proceedings.  Papers will be peer reviewed.  Accepted technical papers
  69. will be published in both paper and CD ROM format.  Topics to be

  89. Technical Papers:    Paper submission will occur  in two stages:  1)
  90. review copies submission and 2) camera-ready  copy submission.  For
  91. review, please mail five(5) hardcopies of full papers of at most 10
  92. double spaced pages 12 point font including figures, tables, and
  93. references to the address below.  In a cover letter, please include
  94. topic area, correspondence address, phone and FAX numbers, and email
  95. address if available.  Please DO NOT send full papers electronically.
  96. Upon acceptance,  you will receive notification and an authors kit to
  97. aid in the preparation of the camera-ready copy.

  112.                 CALL FOR TECHNICAL VIDEOS

  114. The program committee cordially invites you to submit your experimental
  115. results,  software and hardware demonstrations, and computer animations
  116. and graphics in video tape format.  The videos are intended to enhance
  117. and compliment the topics in the technical paper section.  Videos will
  118. be peer reviewed.  Accepted videos will be either published on a one
  119. hour 1/2 inch VHS format tape or shown in a video poster session in the
  120. hotel.

  122. Suggestions for video production:
  123. * Use sound constructively.  Music and background noise 
  124.     generally detract from the presentation.
  125. * Flow charts, block diagrams, circuit boards, computers, or 
  126.     operators usually add little.
  127. * Keep the subject technical, not promotional.
  128. * Illustrate systems or results not easily conveyed in a written 
  129.     paper.
  130. * Be concise, convey one major result clearly.
  131. * Make videos 'stand alone' and self-contained.
  132. * Tie subject of video to a technical paper if possible.

  134. Technical Videos:  Please submit one high quality copy of a 2 to 3
  135. minute video segment in 1/2 inch VHS or 1 inch Umatic format, and a
  136. one-page information sheet containing TITLE, AUTHORS, AFFILIATIONS,
  137. ADDRESS, 200 WORD ABSTRACT with references and acknowledgements.  In a
  138. cover letter, please include topic area, correspondence address, phone
  139. and FAX numbers, and email address if available.  Label tapes with
  140. title and authors.

  156. The program committee cordially invites experts in the field to submit
  157. proposals for tutorials dealing with virtual reality technology.
  158. Topics to be considered include hardware, software, psychophysical
  159. factors, and applications.  The tutorials will be two hours in length.
  160.  
  161. The two page proposal should include the author, affiliation, and
  162. qualifications, the length of time needed to cover the material, a
  163. detailed section on the subject to be taught,  all audio/visual
  164. requirements, and email address.  Postal mail and email submissions are
  165. acceptable.
