- Even if it were meant to be exact, it is possible that the ancient
- Hebrew had no (or a poor) method for dealing with fractions. Since the
- Hebrew number system is not decimal, 3.14159... has no real equivilent
- in ancient Hebrew.

- Besides, nobody knows the value of pi. All we know are increasingly
- better approximations. I can infer that the Bible places the value of
- pi at 3, we must recoginze that this is the best possible approximation
- to 1 signigicant figure. To say it is wrong is in and of itself wrong,
- we can only say it is not very precise.

- I don't recall the verse, but the Bible also says He compasseth the day
- from the night, meaning that the "line" which dives day from night is a
- circle. If the earth was flat this would not be possible, but it's
- quite easy for a sphere(oid).
