- It's perhaps true, but it isn't so simple:
- The constant of proportionality depends on the kind of matter there is
- in the cup, black coffee is not the same as coffee with milk. I think
- one have to take into account the different specific heats of both
- liquids. What is independent of that is the rate of loss of heat, not
- the rate of decrease of temperature.
