- Your last sentence here does not support the assertions made
- in the other two. All responsible scholarship that I am
- familiar with is of the firm opinion that the early history
- of the Gospels is quite complex.

- a few other people from "The Historical Jesus" thread from

- It specifically addresses the question of the authorship
- of the Gospels and I include full citations for reference works,
- and Roman works that mention Xtianity and Jesus that I have
- read myself. Appended to the thread is a copy of
- Mr. Lippard's essay discussing OT prophecies of Jesus.
- People are welcome to email me if they wish a copy of this file.
- It makes for very interesting reading about a fascinating subject.
