  12.     Pi = 3 is calculated from a passage in Kings (I think) where it
  13. talks about Solomon having a cauldron/pot/vessel of some descript that
  14. is 10 cubits across and 30 around.Personally I would say that it was
  15. sloppiness rather than anything else.
  16.     Also,to answer another point,I don't want to argue with the
  17. moral information in the Bible,or with its beauty as a piece of writing.
  18. Rather,I was taking issue with the point of view that says that if it's
  19. in the Bible that the sun stood still in the sky,then it DID,and you're
  20. an idiot if you don't believe it.(Also,I'm not trying to imply that
  21. anyone was advocating this.)Personally,I'm an atheist,but if you are
  22. religious, then that's fine by me as long as you don't try to stuff it
  23. down my throat.Very few do,but as usual there's a small minority
  24. seemingly intent on getting the rest a bad name...
