  29. A dendrogram comparing all these viruses and others, using the most
  30. highly conserved gene sequence (for reverse transcriptase), can be
  31. found in AIDS v6,#8, p771 (1992).  Four SIV strains, two HIV, and
  32. visna are listed among others.  I don't know what the "leukemia
  33. causative agent" is--their tree has a mouse and cow leukemia virus.

  35. HIV-1 is closest to one of the SIV's, HIV-2 to two SIV's, these all
  36. branch together with a fourth SIV.  These form one branch, which are
  37. connected to another branch consisting of visna and another sheep
  38. virus, one goat virus, and a cat virus.  This then branches with a
  39. horse and then a cow virus.
