- Huminer, Rosenfeld, Pitlik "AIDS in the pre-AIDS Era" REVIEWS OF
- INFECTIOUS DISEASES v9 #6, Nov/Dec 1987, pp1102-1108 has a list of
- 19 pre-1981 cases that in retrospect are almost certainly AIDS.
- This was pruned down from a much larger list of maybes. The
- first four cases had AIDS style opportunistic infections in 1952,
- 1958, 1959, 1959.
