- WOW! I don't usually read this newsgroup; I just "popped in" to ask a question,
- so forgive me if this response is inappropriate, but...
-
- Are you proposing that the *GOVERNMENT* decide who is and who is not insane,
- and that the *GOVERNMENT* then certify folks as appropriate or inappropriate
- for various jobs???
-
- (You have way more faith in the government than I, my friend. I, personally
- wouldn't particularly want the government telling me where I could or could not
- work -- based on some sanity test that it gave me -- or, for that matter,
- telling me whom I could or could not employ, by virtue of their scores on that
- test.) Brrrrrrr. The very thought just gives me the shivers.
-
- But the original poster *DID* have a POLITICAL motivation:
-
- In <69944@cup.portal.com> mmm@cup.portal.com writes:
- > This would lead to a new society, one in which sanity is celebrated

- > insanity under euphemisms like "cultural diversity" -- we would have
- > a society oriented toward evolutionary progress, rather than
- > wallowing in degradation as we do now.
-
- <shudder>
-
- Would you like the Bill Clinton administration to develop a politically based
- "sanity" test like the one that you mention? You might find yourself out of
- a job...
