  13. O.K., it seems that alot of good discussion has come of this,
  14. the main question semms to be on the lines of:
  15.     "How are UFOs powered between planets if they require
  16. the magnetic field of a planet for propulsion?"

  18. Good question, and like many people I don't know, and who
  19. does? If they did and they told everyone about it we wouldn't
  20. be wondering now. 
  21.       As Leigh Palmer pointed out, UFOs dont need propulsion
  22. in open space and that seems pretty logical to me, although
  23. I do wonder if the combined solar wind from many stars would
  24. have any effect on the 'spaceship'.      
  25.       Let us also that IF little green men are travelling
  26. through space across vast distances in (presumably) short
  27. times, they obviously are much more advanced than us
  28. and thus would have answered correctly all our questions 
  29. and built themselves a craft to take them to places not 
  30. even heard of in National Geographic magazine!
  31.       Assuming that space travellers are so advanced not
  32. just technologically but emotionally could answer other
  33. questions also. Could it be that the human race is to
  34. primitive to be able to use this technology without
  35. destroying ourselves (as we have nearly done with nuclear
  36. power ?). Perhaps our alien visitors decided after observing
  37. us at close range that this being the case this technology
  38. should be witheld from us?
  39.       Maybe this is why aliens never landed live on the Johnny 
  40. Carson show or turned up at EXPO '92!!
  41.       In answer to John Snyder's question, "Why hasn't one
  42. (a UFO) crashed where the media could get to it first?"
  43. I believe the answer to be this,
  44.       This probably has happened, on a number of occaisions
  45. but the military, predictably with decent tracking equipment,
  46. got ther in time to prevent any publication of these landings
  47. in the 'interests of national security' or to prevent public
  48. punic and general mayhem. As a result, any photographs of such
  49. landings are rare enough tobe written off as faked.
