  18.           A humorous quote from "THE SECRET LIFE OF PLANTS", [See 
  19.           Footnote.], by Peter Tompkins and Christopher Bird, 1973, 
  20.           page 38:

  22.           ....."As Sauvin's main problem remained that of getting his 
  23.           plants to be sharply attuned to his person rather than to 
  24.           their immediate environment, when he was away for several 
  25.           days, he had to devise some means of attracting his plants' 
  26.           attention even more effectively than addressing them over the 
  27.           long-distance phone.  As his plants reacted most strongly to 
  28.           any damage done to himself or to any part of his own energy 
  29.           field, he experimented with remotely killing a few cells of 
  30.           his body in the presence of the plants.  The system worked 
  31.           admirably.  The problem was to obtain cells that would remain 
  32.           alive for protracted periods.  Blood worked well enough, hair 
  33.           was difficult to kill, but sperm worked best of all, because, 
  34.           as Sauvin explained, it was easier to obtain than bleeding, 
  35.           and much less painful.

  49.           AT HIS LAKESIDE COTTAGE HE ESTABLISHED THAT HIS PLANTS, 
  50.           EIGHTY MILES AWAY, WOULD REACT WITH VERY HIGH PEAKS ON THE 
  51.           TONE OSCILLATOR TO THE ACUTE PLEASURE OF [his] SEXUAL CLIMAX, 
  52.           GOING RIGHT OFF THE TOP AT THE MOMENT OF ORGASM.  All of 
  53.           which was very interesting and could be turned into a 
  54.           COMMERCIALLY MARKETABLE DEVICE FOR JEALOUS WIVES TO MONITOR 
  55.           THEIR PHILANDERING HUSBANDS, BY MEANS OF A POTTED 
  56.           BEGONIA."....
