  19. I think you've been around long enough to know I like controversy.
  20. If you'd read other newsgroups, you'd see that I do also.  I'm
  21. just getting weary of the same ones coming up again and again,
  22. and I also want to raise the scientific level of the discussion
  23. on sci.med.  The alternative stuff is hindering attacting more
  24. scientists to sci.med.

  31. Some people are and some people aren't.  People who are not scientifically
  32. trained often don't know how to evaluate evidence.  You see it
  33. here almost every day where people imply causality without valid
  34. reasons.  "I took X and felt better, therefore I *know* homeopathy
  35. works."  It isn't just a matter of intelligence, although stupid
  36. people never will get it.  Very intelligent people can believe in
  37. very stupid myths.
