  11. Are there any cures other than cuting off part of the meniscus ?
  12.    After a few months of gradually increasing pain in my knee I went to
  13. a doctor who diagnosed a thorn meniscus and told me that arthroscopy
  14. surgery and cuting of a part of meniscus is th only way to get back
  15. a normal use of the knee. Furthermore, he said that delaying may make
  16. it worse. 
  17.    I'm somewhat woried that cuting of a part of cartilage may cause
  18. arthritism or other problems in the future.
  19.    I've looked thru some literature in a public library and found some
  20. two year old references on experiments on animals to grow/heal
  21. meniscal cartilage.  -But nothing since.  Have the procedures or
  22. experiments ever progressed to humans ?
