- Are there any cures other than cuting off part of the meniscus ?
- After a few months of gradually increasing pain in my knee I went to
- a doctor who diagnosed a thorn meniscus and told me that arthroscopy
- surgery and cuting of a part of meniscus is th only way to get back
- a normal use of the knee. Furthermore, he said that delaying may make
- it worse.
- I'm somewhat woried that cuting of a part of cartilage may cause
- arthritism or other problems in the future.
- I've looked thru some literature in a public library and found some
- two year old references on experiments on animals to grow/heal
- meniscal cartilage. -But nothing since. Have the procedures or
- experiments ever progressed to humans ?
