  18.      We shouldn't unfairly single out Elsevier.  First of all, some
  19. North Holland paperbacks are quite affordable.  Secondly, most of the
  20. major publishers have a few overpriced titles.  I would love to own a
  21. copy of d'Ari and Thomas' book "Biological Control Systems" (a CRC Press title)
  22. but I can't afford it.  I'm sure that CRC Press priced it thinking that
  23. few individuals would want to own it, but then that just becomes a
  24. self-fulfilling prophecy.
