- We shouldn't unfairly single out Elsevier. First of all, some
- North Holland paperbacks are quite affordable. Secondly, most of the
- major publishers have a few overpriced titles. I would love to own a
- copy of d'Ari and Thomas' book "Biological Control Systems" (a CRC Press title)
- but I can't afford it. I'm sure that CRC Press priced it thinking that
- few individuals would want to own it, but then that just becomes a
- self-fulfilling prophecy.
