  12.  I was looking up the lecture series of Sommerfeld to find him using the method
  13.  of Green's functions in solving the e.m radiation from a dipole antenna. The
  14.  method of course entails evaluating Sommerfeld integrals - introduced first by
  15.  him. I would just be curious to know if Sommerfeld was the first person to use
  16.  or introduce maybe the method of Green's functions in solving electromagnetic
  17.  radiation or scattering problems. For everyone's information, Sommerfeld type
  18.  integrals occur extensively in geophysical probing (non-destructive testing)
  19.  and in modeling of radiation from printed circuit antennas - that have quite
  20.  extensive applications.
