- I think it was towards the end of August this year, but I may be wrong. The
- BB was discussing (amongst other things) about cognitive and generative
- linguistics, and David Pesetsky was one of the most prominent participants.
- At one stage, he referred to Chomsky's new minimalist paper and conceded
- (at least as far as I recall) it was a move towards the cognitive direction,
- with however Langacker (and his content requirement) having clear temporal
- precedence. Now, did anyone save this particular bit and if so could that
- person repost it or send a copy to me personally? I referred to this post
- on another list and got a message from David Pesetsky saying that he surely
- didn't say what I make him say or else that if he did he was asleep... I'd
- like to find out what he really said.
