- Apologies,I should have made myself clearer.As far as I know the
- amount of Pu that is officially regarded as "harmless" for the usual 70
- kg man is 0.5 ng, which is 0.000 000 000 5 g .That's not very much,and I
- certainly was under the impression that the amount determined toxicity,
- and the speed was described as virulence.Could someone tell us more
- about this? Could anyone actually give us an estimated LD-50?
- Also,re. French atmospheric nuclear tests,they did this in the
- Pacific around 1970,well after most other people had stopped,and this
- was one of Greenpeace's earliest involvements with the French Govt.
- Needless to say the French weren't exactly gentle.
