- The correct attitude to take in this position is that you are being paid to
- spend time at the plant doing nothing ! Of course, such a situation won't
- last forever, but the IE has almost no power to change it at all. Thus, the
- IE should do two things:
- 1) Stop being depressed - do a hobby or something outside work.
- 2) Prepare for the inevitable, and find another job, or at least do
- professional development so he will be employable when the inevitable
- happens.
- Of course, if the management is lying, then you don't have to exactly tell the
- truth to management, either. Don't lose sleep - find some **real** (by
- your internal definitions) but small project, and do it for its own sake. By the way,
- the general low morale and depression indicates that you should consider
- looking at the plant emissions within the building.
