  22. I hope this is a good place to ask about Magic cad tool, but I am trying 
  23. anyway. What I have got to in the simulation program irsim is, I am 
  24. able to run the simulation of Tut11a module. But when I called up my
  25. own cell which I just drew up( a simple NAND gate), I first wasn't sure
  26. about how to create a .cmd file(is this a necessary step at all?), so
  27. I looked at tut11a.cmd and copycat a file NAND.cmd, then come the 
  28. hard part:

  31. irsim>h input1    *input1 is a vector I defined signifying one of the inputs

  34. what I saw next is a line with input1=X, which shows that the value is
  35. still undefined (X) even though I have assigned it to be 1 with"h input1".
  36. I am quite puzzled by the ineffectiveness of the command, it makes me
  37. wonder whether in the right track. Please let me know if you have a clue
  38. about this.  Thanks.
