- I hope this is a good place to ask about Magic cad tool, but I am trying
- anyway. What I have got to in the simulation program irsim is, I am
- able to run the simulation of Tut11a module. But when I called up my
- own cell which I just drew up( a simple NAND gate), I first wasn't sure
- about how to create a .cmd file(is this a necessary step at all?), so
- I looked at tut11a.cmd and copycat a file NAND.cmd, then come the
- hard part:
-
- irsim>@ NAND.cmd
- irsim>h input1 *input1 is a vector I defined signifying one of the inputs
- irsim>d *display node value
-
- what I saw next is a line with input1=X, which shows that the value is
- still undefined (X) even though I have assigned it to be 1 with"h input1".
- I am quite puzzled by the ineffectiveness of the command, it makes me
- wonder whether in the right track. Please let me know if you have a clue
- about this. Thanks.
