- What are the failure-prone components in a monochrome VGA monitor?
-
- Our department was given an IBM 8507 large-screen VGA monitor.
- I've been told it's "dead" (no power) but have not tried it out.
-
- I'm pretty experienced with electronics generally but not with monitors,
- and it looks as though I'll be going at this one without a schematic.
- Can anyone tell me what the most failure-prone parts are, and where to
- start looking for the cause of the problem?
-
- Thanks.
