  14. I have an old telephone (circa 1963, from the dates stamped inside) that works
  15. in every way except that it doesn't ring when someone calls in. Sort of like
  16. the ringer is turned down, but I checked that, of course.

  18. Surely the wiring has changed since then - I understand that there used to be
  19. 3 wires/line and now there's 2 wires/line. Maybe with a little redirection
  20. of the internal wiring I can get the ringer to work?

  22. This thing would go great in the garage, but I need to know when it's ringing.
