- Hello, i'm thinking about buying and old 4 channel portable
- crystal scanner. what i would like to do is re-xtal it
- for the local amateur radio repeaters. (vhf)
-
- So I called radio shack and they have no idea if they can get them
- or how long it will take. Then I call a xtal company and they
- need to know the following:
-
- Actual frequency : just the straight 14x.xxx right?
- holder : what's this? Did i misunderstand?
- tolerance : is that ppm? what's normal for this sort of
- thing?
- load capacity : is that like power capacity? what's normal?
-
- Can you help? thanks.
- a crystal neophyte
