  15. For my senior seminar, I am examining the potential effects of NAFTA on various
  16. sectors of the U.S. economy, as well as the economy as a whole.  A friend
  17. recently suggested I post here to garner some input.

  19. As I know virtually nothing about the specifics of the NAFTA proposal as of
  20. today, I need your opinions on the effects of NAFTA in its present form on
  21. the United States (both from the viewpoint of the economy as a whole and from
  22. specific industries, such as textiles, service, agricultural, etc.), names of
  23. people to contact (government agencies, professors, whomever), and suggestions on
  24. the direction my project should take.  (I have talked with my professor about the
  25. project and narrowed my thesis considerably, but I'd like your opinions without
  26. exactly specifying what my thesis is.  I'm not comfortable with it, and still
  27. have time to change if need be.)
