- I have managed to get hold of information on the main DES encryption /
- decryption algorithm, but miss a few pieces of information. I am reading Security
- in Computing by Charles P. Pfleeger. The book explains how the S-boxes and P
- box works, but doesn't give any information beyond the existance of the initial
- permutation and the inverse initial permutation.
-
- I would like someone to explain how the initial permutation and
- reverse initial permutation works, in sufficient detail so that I can write my
- own DES code.
