  10. I've heard that hydrogen peroxide is not all that good at DISINFECTING a
  11. wound, but that it is good for CLEANING it.  This is the logic:
  12. Dirt (and whatever else is in the wound - blood???) catalyzes the reaction:
  13.    2 H2O2 --> 2 H2O + H2 (gas).
  14. The hydrogen gas product then carries the dirt, etc. to the surface
  15. of the wound where it is then washed away.
