- I have read a reference that it is possible to oxidise o-hydroxy-
- benzoic acid with persulfate, but it is in an old German patent and I have
- no clue as to the particulars. The desired product is the hydroquinone
- analogue: 2,5-dihydroxybenzoic acid.
- Also I wonder if this oxidation is possible with permangante. what would
- the best concentration for KMnO4 as a general oxidiser in organic r
- reactions?
