- The supernova went off Feb 23 1987, (by the time of the neutrino burst),
- which was a Monday, and was discovered on the 24th, by Ian Shelton about
- 33 hours later. If you read about it in the next day's paper, then you
- probably saw it on Thurs Feb 26 1987.
