- I have a first edition of Uranometria that has PK118+2.1 plotted just
- at the coordinates you gave. It is on chart 15. I did a little more looking in
- my modest personal library and found that PK118+2.1 is listed misclassified
- as a planetary nebula so has been removed from the PK. Could this be why it is
- not plotted in your (later) Uranometria?
-
- Of interest is the plate on page 11 (NGC 7762 and 7822 field) in Hans
- Vehrenberg's Atlas of Deep-Sky Splendors. Using a 36cm schmidt camera for this
- field he captured PK118+2.1 with ease. He was unaware of the designation of
- this nebula but noted it in the text. It looks a lot like IC5146 does so I
- wonder if they are like objects. It looks to 15' in diameter from the plate.
-
- Being well situated for observation this fall let me know if you are
- able to see it and with what instrument. I'll try for it when we get some
- clear weather here in the wet NW. CAS rides high from darkfall on.
-
- Please post any further information on this object!
