- The error is assuming that ordinary mortals cannot cover the moon with
- a thumb with arm outstretched. Actually, you can do it with a dime. The
- moon substends an angle approximately equal to the diameter of a pencil
- eraser held at arms length. It was never stated in the interview that
- his arm was outstretched either, but simply that he could put his
- thumb to the window and cover the earth with it.

- comment on how insignificant the earth seemed when view from such
- a distance.
