  21. Well in real life, you would be talking about some employee that "gets" stuff
  22. for you  ie: GO FOR this, GO FOR that ... thus the name GO PHER. IE: mostly
  23. used in showbuisness. Elton John's Gopher died while on an errand for him in a
  24. traffic accident while getting cigarettes. So Elton wrote a song for him, it's
  25. called  A song for GUY. (Very nice)

  28. Ok, now for the real stuff, on a computer system, a gopher is an Information
  29. service, available locally or internationally.

  31. Just typing GOPHER will give you the local one....from that one, you may have
  32. the possibility to "reach out" to other gophers. If not, you can try :
  33. gopher (site)   Mine would be:   gopher tohi.dmi.usherb.ca  and you would
  34. get my site, and from there, there is an option for The rest of the world.
