- The Reliant machines are the same Taiwanese tools as are sold under
- many other names. I have the Reliant 1HP dust collector, which works
- well, and is identical to the Jet (and others). I also have a Reliant
- bench 13" drill press, which is the same as many others (although in
- this case, it is far more massive than the Delta 12" for about $30
- less). The Reliant 6" jointer and 10" table saw are also the same as
- the Jet jointer and table saw. The quality is good, but they are
- Taiwanese tools, and like almost all Taiwanese tools, the crates don't
- get opened until you get it home. One thing I liked about the Reliant
- line that made me willing to buy them is that the store (Woodworker's
- Warehouse) is local and I could easily return it if there was anything
- wrong.
