  21. The Reliant machines are the same Taiwanese tools as are sold under
  22. many other names.  I have the Reliant 1HP dust collector, which works
  23. well, and is identical to the Jet (and others).  I also have a Reliant
  24. bench 13" drill press, which is the same as many others (although in
  25. this case, it is far more massive than the Delta 12" for about $30
  26. less).  The Reliant 6" jointer and 10" table saw are also the same as
  27. the Jet jointer and table saw.  The quality is good, but they are
  28. Taiwanese tools, and like almost all Taiwanese tools, the crates don't
  29. get opened until you get it home.  One thing I liked about the Reliant
  30. line that made me willing to buy them is that the store (Woodworker's
  31. Warehouse) is local and I could easily return it if there was anything
  32. wrong.
