- Concerning sniveling of old canopy. Any canopy seems to open slower
- when they get older. Does any particular brand of canopy show general
- tendency of loosing it fast? I had Raven II for 0-200 jumps of its
- life and currently have Raven I with less than 100 jumps on it. When
- they are relatively new, my impression of Raven is cracking opening
- canopy, so what Dan means by the reputation of Raven must be that it
- looses it quick. But I'm curious if it is really noticably worse than
- other F111 canopies under similar condition. People treat canopies
- very differently in very different conditions, so I can imagine that
- one canopy can be worn out as badly as another canopy with twice as
- many jumps. (my Sabre looks several months older after spending 12
- days in dusty Eloy :-( )
-
- I'm wondering about this because my friend is jumping Manta with more
- than 1300 jumps on it, and still using the original slider and opens
- beautifully. Is Manta better canopy than Raven considering its
- opening over time? Or is it just he treated his canopy very well.
-
- Oh, I'm also curious if there is anybody out there who have worn a
- life out of a Sabre, or any other zero-P canopy. There must be, but I
- haven't met one yet. If you have, with how many jumps?
