- The Delphi has now been replaced by the Phoenix, which looks exactly like the
- Delphi but supposedly has been totally redesigned. All the problems I've had
- with my Delphi have been fixed. Some of these:
-
- 1) Batteries last longer. The Delphi ate lots of batteries, especially in
- cold water.
- 2) There is a sturdier battery clip now. Since you change batteries so ofter
- in the Delphi, the clips eventually got pretty flaky.
- 3) Faster response for the thermometer
-
- I have had good luck with my Delphi (apparently others have not) - it's a great
- design, with lots of features, very easy to read. I'll probably take advantage
- of the Orca $259 upgrade to a Phoenix, but I'll wait a while to hear some
- reports on the Phoenix.
-
- Oh, yeah, it still takes standard 9V batteries.
