  19. The Delphi has now been replaced by the Phoenix, which looks exactly like the
  20. Delphi but supposedly has been totally redesigned. All the problems I've had

  23. 1) Batteries last longer. The Delphi ate lots of batteries, especially in
  24.    cold water.
  25. 2) There is a sturdier battery clip now. Since you change batteries so ofter
  26.    in the Delphi, the clips eventually got pretty flaky.
  27. 3) Faster response for the thermometer

  29. I have had good luck with my Delphi (apparently others have not) - it's a great
  30. design, with lots of features, very easy to read. I'll probably take advantage
  31. of the Orca $259 upgrade to a Phoenix, but I'll wait a  while to hear some 
  32. reports on the Phoenix.

  34. Oh, yeah, it still takes standard 9V batteries.
