  21. I don't think that it is unfortunate that ABLJ's/STAB's/ADV'c/Horsecollars/BC's
  22. (call them what you will!) come with a refillable air cylinder.  In fact
  23. in our (BSAC) branch, members are not allowed to dive without them!
  24. There are a number of very good reasons for these (in no particular order):-
  25.  
  26.     1.    Better inflation at depth than CO2 cylinders.
  27.     2.    Controlled amount/speed of inflation.
  28.     3.    Easier than manual inflation in times of emergency.
  29.     4.    Faster than direct feeds (mostly applicable at the surface).
  30.     5.    Independant inflation (still works after 1st stage failure).
  31.     6.    Independant air source in times of great need.

  33. Personally, I wouldn't feel happy diving without mine.
