  12. Thanks for the explanation of the C.O.P.E. cryptonym, Mike.
  13. I was tempted to add the thread to my kill file, but now I know
  14. that it was a good idea to keep the thread.

  16. We have something similar in Switzerland. The Government supports
  17. us through their J+S (Youth and Sport) department. The goal of
  18. J+S is to help youth sports organizations with subsidies, trainer
  19. courses and camps and short-time equipment loans.

  21. Two of the J+S programs are made specifically for scouting units.
  22. One is called "Camp Sports" (LS), and is directed mainly at cub scout
  23. leaders and sports camp staff members, the other is called
  24. "Wandern & Gelaendesport" (W+G) (sorry, you'll have to translate that
  25. one by yourself), and is directed at scout summer camp staff members
  26. and scout troop leaders.

  28. W+G is very similar to C.O.P.E. as defined by Mike.  I would be very
  29. interested in more information about the actual activities and posts
  30. prescribed or recommended by C.O.P.E. Could the original poster
  31. send or post some more info?
