- From what I've heard and experienced, your first impressions were dead on.
- The Hurache looks pretty cool, but is best worn on an exercise stepper or
- for a trip to the Sip 'n' Go for a twinkie. I forgot my training shoes when
- I went to practice once (Saucony), and had to use my friend's pair of
- Hurache. We went six miles on road that day, and after two I was in serious
- pain. The plastic strap on the back itches horribly, and digs into your
- achilles as it tries to flex. There seems to be little or no adequate
- cushioning, and after a few miles my feet felt really abused. Furthermore,
- they don't have reflectors (for night buffs), they suck up standing water
- like sump pumps, and have less traction than dogs on linoleum. But hey,
- they *look* really neat!
