- In a previous article, wjf@controls.ccd.harris.com (Bill Figie) says:
-
- > As far as a ride on the Bat goes, it was a very circular coaster. I
- >don't remember very many good drops. It mostly relied on the swinging
- >action to create excitement. It had two lifts of around 90 to 100 feet.
- >It was a very exciting ride. I think the Big Bad Wolf is a little better
- >because of the final drop and the way the village is. I haven't ridden
- >the Vortex at Canada's Wonderland, but the Bat would be my #2 Arrow
- >suspend coaster. It was built where the Vortex at KI stands now.
- >There is a nice story and picture of the Bat in one of the early (I think
- >Volume 2 Issue 2) issues of Coaster World. The coaster ran for 2 years I
- >think before it was torn down. I happened to ride it both years. I am
- >glad they worked out the bugs in suspend coasters. That's all I have to
- >say about this right now.

- Bill,.
- Have you ever ridden the Ninja at Magic Mountain? I never had the pleasure(?)
- of riding the Bat, but what I have heard from people who have is that
- it was not one of the worlds greatest expeences.
