- I study Tang Soo Do which is a traditional art and incorporates
- many forms. I see the forms as a way of developing a students
- balance, and helps them to "get the feel" for the various
- techniques. I've also found that forms help the student to
- control their breathing. I found that when I first began doing
- forms I was getting out of breath by the end of each form. You
- begin to learn how to control your breathing thus conserving
- energy, this will also benefit you when sparring.
-
- >Finally, how should one perform a form ?.
- >That is, do you picture an oponent in front of you while performing ?.
-
- Yes, I find the best way to perform a form is to imagine there is an opponent
- in front of you.
