  13. Yes, i was at one of these type of competitions back on October 24th
  14. at the Park West in downtown Chicago.  It was sponsored by Shidokan Karate.
  15. It was a full contact, no protection, bare knuckle fight.  It was awesome
  16. competition.  These fighters are a special breed.

  18. The only place contact was not allowed was to the face with a fist.  The
  19. fighters could kick to the face/head, just no direct punches.  And there were
  20. lots of kicks to the face/head.  There was also a significant amount of 
  21. blood.  (we had rink side seats and could hear contact being made)

  23. If you ever get a chance to see this kind of tournament, it is well worth
  24. it in my opinion.

  26. Additional information:  the next Weekend War kickboxing tournament in
  27. Chicago is December 5th at St. Viator's Rec Center at the corner of
  28. Addison & Kedvale.
