  19. Two major reasons.  One, people mistrust, or even fear, change, and
  20. a Glock is a very different pistol.  Of course, some people love
  21. change for its own sake, and would love a Glock even if it shot
  22. ping-pong balls.

  24. Two, many people judge firearms by their sex appeal, which I find
  25. as sensible as judging dates by safety and ballistics.  Some people
  26. are into black rubber; some are into black plastic.  These
  27. proclivities _may_ be mutually exclusive.

  29. Note that neither of the above criteria has anything to do with
  30. the Glock's usability as a pistol.  While I've never fired one,
  31. people I trust indicate that, _if you like it_, the Glock is a
  32. very fine pistol.
