  19. Travel through Arkansas is basically like Texas, with one exception.  In 
  20. Arkansas, if you are stopped by police, etc..., they may confiscate your 
  21. weapon if it is loaded and in the passenger compartment.  You may go to 
  22. court and plead innocent, citing the law that establishes the right to 
  23. carry while traveling and are supposed to get your weapon back.  I don't 
  24. know anyone who this has happened to, but it could be a little difficult, 
  25. since they could actually take possession of your property.

  27. I lived in MO also, but can't remember exactly how it was done there.  I 
  28. think it is more like "don't carry anytime".  I do know that when I went to 
  29. the range, I kept guns and ammo separated.

  33. BTW call NRA and ask for the booklets on Firearms Laws in Texas, Arkansas,
  34. and Missouri.  They are free and summarize the state laws well.
