  23. Well how about this: Due to a disaster (hurricane, flood, earthquake,
  24. insurrection, war, take yer pick) there has been a general breakdown of
  25. civilized conduct and good manners. In fact, unwelcome visitors are
  26. infiltrating the neighborhood in large, boisterous groups brandishing an
  27. assortment of weaponry. The police are nowhere to be seen. You and your
  28. neighbors find it necessary to set up an informal militia to protect the
  29. environs by patroling and manning roadblocks.

  31. Given this scenario, _I_ would rather be armed with something that packs a
  32. bit more punch than a handgun, has a longer range than a shotgun, and is
  33. reasonably accurate: in short, an Evil Assault Rifle (tm).
