- I think you may be going about it wrong. If you think shooting a rifle at
- a stationary target is hard with the "wrong eye" condition, try shooting
- trap or skeet! Although it does not seem to be a large portion of the
- population, many people have this problem. The clay target shooters I know
- combat this problem by putting a small, translucent disk on their shooting
- glasses so that the front bead is obscured from the dominant eye when in
- the "gun-mounted-waiting-for-a-target" position. This keeps the dominant
- eye from supplying incorrect positional information when the sight plane is
- close to the target but it allows both eyes to be used for target
- aquisition on targets that are outside the range of the obscuring disc.
- These discs are available from some eyewear shops but alot of people just
- cut a small piece of Scotch tape and use it.
